Finally...

I have finally started getting the subpages online - at last you all say - i'm sorry for the delay in getting things back up and running but I just can not be bothered at the moment - I am too excited for the tour lol.

Mentioning the tour - I am going to be working on getting the Tour Special up and running tonight possibly tomorrow. Kelly, Jules, Charl and Louise and Carole have all donated fantastic pictures for me to use on the website so thank you so much to them. Look out for it on the website tonight.

Shayne Ward gets sexy new uniform for tour

SHAYNE Ward has always been a hit with the ladies but the sexy star is about to set more than a few pulses racing by appearing in uniform while he's on tour.

The coy singer hasn't revealed all but we're hoping he will perform dressed as a fireman - he will need to so he can deal with the soaring temperatures caused by his red-hot new look.

The 2005 X Factor winner kicks off his biggest UK arena tour to date on Monday at Glasgow's SECC. He will also perform Aberdeen's AECC on May 13 before playing a further 10 dates in England and Ireland. And he is currently holed up in his rehearsal studio preparing for the shows.

He wrote on his blog: "I'm now fully in tour rehearsal mode and it's such a great feeling piecing everything together for the show, ready for you all to see the finished article.

"I have been filming loads of the VT packages that will be on the screens for different parts of the show. I don't want to give too much away but I was in uniform.

"I'm so pleased with the way it's taking shape and I can't wait for you to see it." And the star isn't planning to remain idle after completing his hectic UK tour.

The singer, whose self-titled debut album reached No.1 in the UK charts in 2006 and second album, Breathless, reached No.2 in 2007, is jetting off to the US in the hope of emulating the success of 2006 X Factor winner Leona Lewis.

And like Leona, whose single Bleeding Love is still at No.1 in America's Hot 100 singles chart, Shayne doesn't believe in rushing things.

"After the tour, I'm going to America for four to six weeks. I think everyone wants to crack America. You want your music to be everywhere.

"But you have to take your time and listen to what the fans want.

"And you have to know what sounds right, what works and what doesn't. I'm taking a few years to find what's exactly me."

Shane is pleased for Leona, and her US success, saying: "I think it's great.

"We both came from the same show and I support her 100 per cent.

"She's lovely and has a fantastic voice."

Shayne's Show gets Sexier

X Factor winner Shayne Ward returns to Newcastle this month. Entertainment Editor GORDON BARR catches up with him

A LOT of people put down talent shows – they shouldn’t do.” Strong words from Shayne Ward, and he knows his stuff more than most.

Having won the X Factor two and a half years ago, he has since enjoyed a clutch of hit singles and albums, putting him in the same league as Will Young and even Leona Lewis, although he has yet to make any assault on the USA, where Leona has triumphed.

The pair had a bit of a chart battle in the run-up to Christmas last year – Leona taking the top spot, with Shayne a close second. “Leona and I are definitely flying the flag for talent shows,” says Shayne, who is at the Metro Radio Arena, Newcastle, on May 16.

“Leona’s had a big album, a big single, exactly what I had. Now she’s No 1 in America.

“Two years on I’m still getting in the Top 3. I think we prove there is a place for talent shows.”

At 23, Shayne is now one of Britain’s most successful male singers. His last album, Breathless, drew comparisons to Justin Timberlake – something he takes on board willingly.

“To be compared to Justin is always a big compliment.

“I know how big a star he is, he’s very credible, he’s a great entertainer. He’s got great songs with a great voice.

“And no, I would never say no to working with Madonna either!” he laughs.

When we chat, Shayne is leaving his home city of Manchester to head back to London. “I don’t get much time these days so it is always nice to grab every opportunity to come back to see the family.”

He reveals he also has big plans for his Breathless tour. “It’s going to be a lot bigger than the first one. It’s my second arena tour and with the different sound of the album, which is a lot funkier and a lot sexier, it means I have to carry it on into the tour.

“The first tour was more ballads and I did a lot of sections where it was a lot of covers because I only had one album of material.

“With this I now have two albums of material, so I’m going to completely step it up a gear. We knew we had to take it to the next level. I take a lot of inspiration from the fans. They tell me what they like, what they think is good. When we came out with the songs like No U Hang Up and Breathless, they absolutely loved it.”

USW Tour Blog

First I want to apologise for the lack of updates on here. My personal life has kinda taken a dive with problems at home and  I didn't log in for a few days but i'm back and starting tuesday more updates will be happening and this site WILL get back to normal in time for the tour. I promise you.

Mentioning the tour - Can you believe is starts in 9 days time. To kick things off I have created a USW Tour blog. This is where you can register for an account on the tour blog and post away your thoughts leading upto the tour AND afterwards write your views and opinions on the tour as well as post pictures.

The tour blog will serve as a memory thing for those of us who have been to see him or for the international visitors we get it will focus on upto date reviews from the fans themselves giving GOOD, HONEST reviews of what the concert was really like.

Progress made..

I've started to slowly upload the pictures back onto the gallery today and what  a slow process it will be.
I'm getting rid of some images so we won't have as many as we did before the move but we will still be the latest gallery of Shayne images on the internet.
I'm going to try and get it organised like we had before - but - pictures from the X Factor are just going in one folder now because they are that old basically. The gallery will be done over the next few days because I am FTPing the images so it's not that long a job to upload them the time consuming part comes when setting the galleries up. But I will get there.

As you can see I have done changes to the homepage by adding the boxes above the updates so you get the information you mostly need as soon as you enter the homepage. I still need to do some changes though to make the live dates updating as easy as possible.

I have changed the nameservers on the old domains so hopefully everyone will be brought to this page. It's all so confusing lol.

LEONA Lewis is America's new sweetheart after her debut single and album both hit the top of the charts - and now her fellow X Factor alumni Shayne Ward is hoping to crack the States, too.

Shayne, who won the TV talent show the year before Leona, tells me he's heading to the US later this year to write, record and hopefully woo the population with his charms.

He says: "It's on the schedule for me to go out to America, and I'm excited about it. You never know, I might be able to get on Oprah like Leona! That would be wicked.

"I've got my UK tour until the end of May, then I'm heading to Australia, South Africa and then to America for six weeks to write and record.

"We don't know yet if that's for a new album or if they might be for new singles."

Shayne says he and Leona will always be mates because of their shared experiences.

In recent weeks, Leona has also succumbed to throat problems - just as Shayne did a year after he won The X Factor too, having to have an operation for throat nodules.

He's advised Leona to make sure she puts herself first despite the demands of the music business.

He says: "It's important just to be honest with the record label if you're really struggling with your throat. I know because we always aim to please, but the most important thing for us is our voices.

"So, my advice to Leona would be to take the rest when she needs it definitely.

Rigorous

"It's nice to see how she's getting on and how she's coping with it. We've both come from the same show, so I feel like I'm there to watch her back."

Shayne is certainly doing everything he can now to protect his voice - and is undergoing a rigorous health and fitness plan ahead of his upcoming UK tour.

He says: "I'm just taking precautions this time and really looking after my voice. I'm on a health kick, I'm going to the gym and drinking lots of water.

"And before every gig I always have a bit of a quiet time: at least an hour to myself."

He takes in the M.E.N. Arena on May 25, and he's looking forward to the homecoming.

"Just to come home and do any gig in Manchester is wicked for me.

"But to do the M.E.N. again, it's going to be such a special night."

And fans can look forward to a raunchier Shayne this time around.

He laughs: "I'm going to take it up to the next level because the second album was completely different. It's a lot sexier and I hope the fans will like it."

We're Back.....Kind of

The only thing that is working fully is the forum. I was going to get a new layout made but its too expensive at the moment so I will still with this one at the moment - but do a few changes to it to suit the needs of the website. I would design one but i've been trying today and I have complete layout block - I have the ideas in my head but as normal they won't transfer into HTML coding. So you are stuck with this for a few more days until I can get everything re-uploaded.

The next thing I am going to do is get the gallery tranferred over here - I don't fancy losing over 4000 pictures so I can see this week been a very looonnngggg week lol.

But I will get there in the end. I will try and post news on here as well as transfer everything but we will see.

Thank you for your patience and understanding whilst we had to do this transfer and I hope to have USW back to normal VERY SOON.
